Photography is the one passion that has never faded for me.

I fell in love with the art of photography in 6th grade during a technical application class. I was infatuated with how each principle we went over changed how an image was interpreted.

I got my first point and shoot camera when I was 14 and, quite literally, brought it everywhere with me. I was always finding new ways to capture the things in my backyard.

I got my first DSLR for my 16th birthday and taught myself how the settings worked. From there, I launched my photography career.

I graduated and went off to college to study journalism (the school didn’t specifically have a photography major, so I figured photojournalism was the next best thing). I knew I would want to pursue photography full time eventually and ALMOST convinced my mom to let me drop out of school and take photography somewhere else. However, I worked hard and finished my degree. But now I am still in the same boat I was before—I want to pursue this full time (eventually). So here I am.

My Life Outside of Photography

I married the love of my life, Ethan, during the summer before my senior year of college. He is extremely supportive and has made it possible for me to explore this as a career. In our first year of marriage, we got two kittens that we love dearly. We are also expecting our first child in February 2025.
